A little while back Segel reached out to me and asked if I wanted to collaborate. I hadn’t heard of their brand yet but quickly fell in love. This was a bag I could get behind for many reasons. For one, I love that the bag was created with a Copenhagener in mind—it’s waterproof, bike friendly, and has that elevated casual vibe. To me it’s the bag I’m looking to grab when I’m off to a coffee shop in the morning, before heading straight to my favorite cocktail bar at night with my girlfriends.
For another, the bag is sustainably made using the remnants from the fabric used to make fisherman’s pants. I think it is really cool when a brand can turn scraps and extras into something new and unique.
Finally, I love supporting small and upcoming brands. As a fellow small business owner, I think it’s even more important now than ever before to support local. Segel is a Danish company that also embraces Faroese craftsmanship as well as Danish design.
Also an added bonus is truly its feature to hang on the bike’s backrack. They really did think of everything a real Copenhagener would need!
