Our Home Tour: A Trip Down Memory Lane

I’m getting ready to film a home tour now that our apartment is finally almost all decorated and arranged in the way that I feel is perfect. It’s so close to being there.

In the mean time, while I clean, hang the last few images in the guest room for a second gallery wall, and dust off all our books I thought we’d go down memory lane of all the versions this apartment has been in since we moved in almost 3 years ago.

This will be a visual timeline of our home with a few stories here and there. Enjoy.

Moving In

I can’t believe its been almost 3 years since we found this place. We live in a new building in the new neighborhood of Copenhagen called Sydhavn. Our apartment is a two-bedroom, 1 bathroom with large windows and a balcony overlooking the canal.

Our First Night, cozy on the floor on a twin mattress.

Setting up our furniture — Looking back, I can’t believe how naked and bare it looks.

The start of my DIY projects. Up-cycling has really helped re-vamp and “adult” our apartment and style.

Mini upgrades that are Rental Friendly: Removable wallpaper to our kitchen backsplash, plants, + art work.

A foam headboard really helped give our bed some shape and dimension.

Side Note: I can’t believe we slept on two single beds pushed together, that weren’t even the same height for 2+ years!!

2 years in and we finally got a new bed. Which meant we re-arranged our bedroom a bit.

Loving my new vanity area.

And now finally, we’ve had a chance to style the entry way!

Stay tuned for the home tour video to see how it all looks together!

I’ll be doing some more posts with the exact projects we did and sharing with you my favorite tips for styling your homes in my tour. Let me know what your favorite thing is about styling your apartment below!
